Teri L Volkmann 1949 2018

Obituary of Teri Volkmann Teri L. Volkmann, 68, of Latrobe, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, at her home. She was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Spangler, PA, Cambria County, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Hermalik) Kostura. Teri was a graduate of Indiana High School and received her bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to her retirement in 2015, Teri worked as a medical technologist at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. A thoughtful, giving person, Teri was very generous to family, friends and strangers alike. She was an avid watcher of QVC, where she purchased many of the thoughtful gifts she gave to others. She was also a talented artist and was known for creating banners for Holy Family Church. She loved going out to eat and picking up the tab, often saying, “My treat.” A dog lover, she formerly raised and trained beagles. She had a great sense of humor, loved spontaneity, documentaries, music and dancing, but most of all, loved her children. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Paul J. “Pee Vee” Volkmann, two children, Aaron M. Volkmann of Pittsburgh, and Kelsey L. Volkmann of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Constance Wolcott and her husband Dale of Manhattan, KS, and Kimberly Kucinski and her husband Joseph of Indiana, PA; a number of in-laws, nieces, nephews and her grand dog, Arlo. Honoring Teri’s wishes, services and interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Action for Animals, P.O. Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
