COGAN HOUSE – Richard L. “Dick” Litzelman, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home with his wife of 55 years by his side. He married the former Alice J. (Stryker) on March 16, 1963. Richard was born on June 22, 1938 in Cogan House and was the son of the late Oliver and Helen (Maneval) Litzelman. He served with the US Army for three years. He then worked for Penn DOT for 30 years and retired in 1995. Richard was a life member of the Marine Corp League, Ralston and a member of the Dog Run Hunting Club. He enjoyed all the campfires and hunting stories. He especially loved fishing in Canada and Athens, PA. His greatest gift was his grandchildren. Richard was always lending a helping hand. In addition to his wife Alice, he is survived by one daughter; Sandra L. Orgitano (Frank) of Trout Run, two grandsons; Richard J. Orgitano and Mathew E. Orgitano, both of Trout Run, six brothers; Daniel Litzelman of Trout Run, Dale Litzelman of Florida, Rolan Litzelman (Joyce) of Liberty, Terry Litzelman of Trout Run, David Litzelman (Brenda) of Trout Run and Frank Litzelman (Rochelle) of Jersey Shore, two sisters; Gayle Stryker of Trout Run and Ethel Confair (Fred) of Jersey Shore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; Virgil, Raymond, Oliver, Jr., Bill and Darcey Litzelman and two sisters; Echo Litzelman and Ann Eccles. There will be a public viewing 10 – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held at 11:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Summit Cemetery, Trout Run.
