Obituary of Maryann Artigiani Maryann Novak Boyko Artigiani, 92 of Peckville died Tuesday at Allied Hospice after a brief illness. Her first husband Michael Boyko died in 1963. She is survived by her second husband of 48 years, Armando Artigiani. Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Surma Novak. She was a 1944 graduate of Olyphant Hgh School and was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Jessup and then St. Mary’s Assumption Church, also Jessup, now known as Queen of Angels Parish. She was also active in the Mid Valley Senior and Golden Age and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was employed at Billig Shoe, Lockheed Martin, and also various catering jobs, including the After 5 and Larioni’s Catering. She was a loving wife who enjoyed traveling , bingo and trips to the casino. She is survived by a sister, Frances Elecko, Blakely and a niece Linda Samsel. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella Samsel, a niece Diane Elecko and a nephew Joseph Samsel. The funeral will be Monday from the Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home,511 Church St. Jessup, with mass at one oclock at St. Michael’s Church, Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup. Interment, St. Cyrils Cemetery, Peckville.
