Mary Jane MJ Williams 1932 2018

Obituary for Mary Jane “MJ” Williams Mary Jane Williams, affectionately known as MJ, Mom, or MeMom of Doylestown, peacefully slipped away on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018. She was 86 years old. She was the daughter of the late Mary and James Wilbur. They raised her on Rosemont Avenue in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania along with her brother Dr. James Wilbur of Springfield, Missouri and her late sister Elizabeth “Betty” Kolyer of Doylestown. Mary Jane graduated from Upper Darby High School, married and moved to Doylestown in 1952 where she raised and shared the lives of her four children: Kim MacMinn and her husband Bill, Alan D. Williams III and his wife Jan, Keith J. Williams and his fiancé Lenore Suhanec, and Kari A. Williams. She will be greatly missed by all of us. She was very proud and honored that her residence, “RosCommon”, was chosen as the 1981 Designer House, so she could share her beautiful home with her community. Also left to cherish her memory, spirit and unique sense of humor are her grandchildren: Kirk MacMinn and his wife Amy, Brett MacMinn and his fiancé Victoria Hanlin, Courtney Jane Matthews and her husband Kevin, Brittany Williams, Marielle MacMinn, Shane Tyksinski, Dillon Tyksinski, and Zoe Williams. She was further blessed to be a great-grandmother to Rachael, Riley, Reagan, and Grayson Matthews, and Luke and Bryce MacMinn. Mary Jane dedicated her life to caring for others: her parents, her children, her grandchildren and all her patients that she cared for as a certified geriatric nursing assistant at Doylestown Manor and Neshaminy Manor. She will also be sorely missed by her neighbor, coworker, and dear friend Gerta Vickus. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 or www.doylestownhealth.org would be appreciated.
