Leon G Pinkerton 2018

Leon G. Pinkerton of Philadelphia, passed away on May 9, 2018, at the age of 86. He was the loving husband of the late Dolores A. Pinkerton (McVicker), with whom he had shared nearly 23 years of marriage. Leon was born in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Leon and Dorothy Pinkerton. Leon was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War and was an employee for 50 years with the Department of the Navy. He was a 1979 graduate of LaSalle University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a passion of Leon’s. He was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed the Eagles, Jeopardy, aviation and animals, especially his feline companions. Leon was also blessed with an incredible sense of humor, wit, and the ability to make people laugh. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Yellin; two grandchildren, Christopher Andrews, and his fiance, Christina, and Leni Palm, and her husband, Adam; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Joan Wagner. Relatives and friends will be received by his family on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, after 10:00 a.m., followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. York Road, Hatboro. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate.
