Joseph Boyce White, 57, of Strabane, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 26, 2018 of an apparent heart attack. He was born July 16, 1960 in Washington, a son of Floyd and Diane McCracken White. Mr. White was a 1978 graduate of South Fayette High School where he played football and wrestled. He was a self-employed contractor for home remodeling and landscaping. Mr. White enjoyed working on engines and yard work, but the time spent with his grandchildren was of most importance. On July 17, 2011 he married Brenda Brown who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Christopher J White (Victoria Gourn) of Washington; two grandchildren, Braxton and Harper White; two brothers, David White (Lisa) of S. Fayette Twp. And Michael White (Laura) of Clarksville; two sisters, Jeannie Robinson (Gary) of Canonsburg and Bonnie White-Phillips (Ron) of Cuddy; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org
