Funeral Services for Thomas E. Hurban will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Family and friends may call 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, May 14th at the funeral home. Thomas was born November 29, 1952 in Cleveland. He passed away May 10, 2018 at David Simpson House in Cleveland. Thomas worked for the City of Painesville Street Department for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He loved traveling, playing golf, and enjoyed watching and going to hockey games. He was a long-time member of A. A.; a member of Bread of Life Anglican Church; and The Tuesday Night Big Book Study at Hope Ridge Church. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Avis (Gebeau) Hurban; son, Andrew Hurban; step-son, Jim Chladek; step-daughter, Rebecca (Ron) Siedler; brother, Mark (Jennifer) Hurban and sister, Kelly (Alvin) Bartholomew. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Elaine P. (Lorrey) Hurban. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thomas’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, OH 44060; Meals on Wheels, 8520 East Avenue, Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH. or to Bread of Life Anglican Church, 228 East Erie Street, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
