Saundra Avonda Chevalier Walker, born December 27th, 1941, left our earth to be with her Lord on May 26th. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, Jack and Thelma (Dawson) Chevalier. Saundra was the youngest and last surviving of eight children,Jack Chevalier II, Orie (Curly), Charles, Lillian, Maurice (Skeet), Marjorie, and Kenneth (D). As part of her legacy, Saundra leaves behind three daughters, Brenda Brewer (Marion), Cyndra Brewer (Springfield), Jamie (George) Hawkins (Prospect), a son, Matthew (Roxanne Conkle) Brewer (Morral), and a step son Michael (Ruth Weinbrom) Brewer, as well as several grand children and great grand children. A 1959 graduate of Marion Harding High School, Saundra worked at Kresge’s, Tecumseh, Tri-County Distributors, and the Whirlpool Corporation, retiring from there in 2003 after 26 years of service. Saundra’s community volunteer work included various organizations, highlighted by her 18 years of involvement with Marion Midget Football. Her hobbies included gardening and antiques Public visitation for Saundra is from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel, on Friday, June 1st, followed there by a service at 3:00 pm.
