Richard Graumann March 21 1933 May 23 2018 (age 85)

Richard Graumann, 85, of Mason, Ohio, died May 23, 2018 at his Warren County home. A memorial service is being held at the Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason-Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, on Saturday, June 2 at 11 am. Mr. Graumann was born March 21, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Erwin and Claire Graumann. Mr. Graumann attended Calumet High School on the Chicago South Side. He served in the United States Army 16th Infantry Regiment in Germany from 1953-1955 and the US Army Reserves 1955-1961. He pursued advanced education at the Illinois Institute of Technology, earning his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering. He worked for many years as a technical specialist in the petrochemical industry and enjoyed skiing and traveling. In recent years, he embraced golf, gardening, and the companionship of his friends at the Mason Community Senior Center. Although he had no children, his dogs Gretchen and Gigi were treasured companions. He was a loving uncle to his nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. They will always remember his witty remarks, cackling laughter and good nature. Mr. Graumann is survived by his sister, Carol Pownall, brother-in law Robert Pownall, nephews Robert and James Pownall, niece, Lorrie Savas, and grandnieces/nephews Joshua, Malia, Katie, and Zachary Pownall, and Stephen and Andrew Savas. favorite_border Donations Pledges
