MARTHA M. WAGNER Martha M. Wagner, 100, went to be with the Lord at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Ohio’s Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born October 15, 1917 in Piqua to the late Roy C. and Pauline (Schelle) Moore. She married Rolland W. Wagner January 15, 1961 at Greene Street United Methodist Church, and he survives. Other survivors include a step-son, Gregory Wagner of Piqua; a grandson, Thomas (Melissa) Wagner of Centerville; two great grandchildren; two nephews, Bruce Blacke, Douglas Blacke, and several great nieces and nephew with whom she was very close. She was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Blacke and a niece, Helaine Blacke Novak. Mrs. Wagner was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and worked as a dental assistant for several years prior to becoming a wonderful homemaker. She was an active long time member of Greene Street United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing Bridge. She will be remembered for her warm smile and kindness to others. A private service to honor her life will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Edward Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Greene Street United Methodist Church, 415 W. Greene St., Piqua, OH 45356 for their Food Pantry program.
