Larry Lee Freshour, 82, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born August 28, 1935 in Washington Court House, OH the son of Gilbert and Elizabeth (Mark) Freshour. Larry retired from Navistar International with 34 years of service and belonged to UAW Local 402. He was a member of Maiden Lane Church of God and enjoyed playing softball, pitching horseshoes and especially fishing. Larry had been a Little League coach, worked on the Shawnee High School Football “chain gang” and loved his Ohio State Football. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Derek L. Freshour and Trina Dougan of Fort Worth, TX, Dennis K. and Pam Freshour of Springfield and Darrell L. and Cindy Freshour of Dayton; six grandchildren whom he loved and cherished Jarrod and Justin (Caitlin) Freshour, Jordan and Janelle Freshour, Cody and Cassandra Freshour; two great grandchildren Conger Freshour and Dakota Richardson; a special friend and sister-in-law Milly McGee; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy L. Freshour in 2003; brothers Danny, Donald and David Freshour; and a sister Sarah Duty. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM. in RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Larry’s life will be Thursday at 10:00 AM. in the Memorial Home with Pastor Dennis Durig officiating. Interment to follow in Rose hill Burial Park.
