James Lee Roy Jr Fenn May 4 1946 May 13 2018 (age 72)

James Lee Fenn “Roy Jr.” 72, of Lorain departed this life May 13, 2018 in his home following a short illness. He was born in Louisville, Alabama coming to Elyria 62 years ago and attended Elyria High School. Mr. Fenn was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Marine Corp. and 2 Tours of Duty in Vietnam. He was employed at the General Motors Corp. of Elyria for 10 years. Mr. Fenn was a member of Greater St. Matthew AME Church in Lorain, were he served as a choir member, board of trustees, and helped in the church Food pantry. He enjoyed drawing, NASCAR racing, billiards, building wood cabinets, and spending time with family and friends. He was survived by his daughter: Chananna (Howard) Hollis of Cary, NC and 1 grandchild: Ariel Hollis, sisters: Willie Pearl Fenn of Goldberg, SC, Patricia A. Newton of Elyria, Lola (Jerome) Belt of Rochester, NY, brothers: Solomon Fenn , Robert Dean Fenn both of Lorain, Dwayne (Betsy) Fenn of Elyria, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death his parents, Roy and Leola Fenn; sisters Johnnie Newton and Maxine Tarrant; brother, Jessie Fenn. Friends may call Tuesday, May 22, 2018, in the Greater St. Matthews, 1909 West 24th Street, Lorain, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. Rev. Darden will officiate. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman, OH on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
