Irene E. Lipko, age 93, passed away peacefully and is now with her Lord, Friday February 9, 2018 at the Autumn Hills Care Center of Niles, after a sudden illness. A lifetime resident of Austintown and Girard, she nourished family and so many friends with her love, faith and compassion. Irene was born with her twin sister (still born) at home in Girard, Oh in 1924 to the late Claude and Jessie Cramer Sr. After graduation from Liberty High School in 1943, she joined the US Navy and served honorably. After discharge, she attended business school at Youngstown University, Irene worked many years, locally as an executive secretary. Irene is preceded in death by her husband Frank Lipko, whom she married in 1965 and died in 1994, her sons John P. Nipps II (d.2002), Terry J Lipko (d.2000), her siblings, James (d.2011), Claude Jr. (d.2014) and Jean Chambers (d.2015). She is survived by her daughter Barbara (William) Moersch of Vermont and her son Randall Nipps of Ohio,, Four Step Sons, Rev Frank Lipko Jr., Dennis Lipko, John T. Lipko , Jeffrey Lipko and Two step daughters, Nancy and Holly (all of Indiana) Five Grandchildren (Samantha Nipps, Stephen (Melissa) Sabo, Patrick Sabo (all of Ohio) , Christopher (Mary) Proper and Shawn (Kimberly) Proper of Florida, Twelve Great Grandchildren , 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd, 8:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 7:00 PM until the time of service.
