CONRAD Celestine Joseph, age 96, of Fairfield passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was born on March 11, 1922 in Hamilton to the late Louis and Anna (nee Staarmann) Conrad. He served in the United States Navy during WWII; and spent his career as a Heating/Air Conditioning Specialist until his retirement in 1982. Celestine was a founding member of Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield. On January 22, 1949, Celestine married Betty Louise Flick; she preceded him in death on November 23, 2015. Celestine is survived by his loving children, Linda (Terry) Geyer, Barbara (Bruce) Dunhoft, Cathy (Joe) Garcia, and Thomas (Karen) Conrad; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Steven Conrad; and 6 siblings. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Rd., Fairfield 45014. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Rd., Fairfield 45014 with Father Larry Tharp officiating.
