Carol A. Detwiler, age 57 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Sprenger Health Care of Massillon. She was born October 5, 1960, in Homestead, PA. Carol was a hard working title abstracter for Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, and Pennsylvania. She loved to read, cook, trips to the beach, and to laugh. Carol is survived by daughters, Stephanie (Adrian) Nash and Rebecca Plute; parents, Ernest and Doris Morris; sister, Bonnie (Robert) Hetterscheidt; brother, William (Carole) Morris; two grandchildren, Ava and Wyatt Nash; three nieces and a nephew. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave NW at 5:00 PM with Rev. Bryan Hetterscheidt officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Ste. 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
