William Osborne Rone Jr., 81, of Catawba passed away Thursday, May 17th, 2018 at W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center. Born November 10th, 1936 he was the son of the late William Rone and Roche Howard Rone. A daughter Susan Rone of Valdese; two grandchildren Kori Federici, Carson Ashley and a special friend Regis Barnhardt survive him. In addition to his parents; his son Steven Rone; three sisters Marie Wainwright, Betty Small, Francis Rone; and a grandson Steven Rone Federici Jr. preceded him in death. A graveside service will be 11:00am Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
