Mary Eldridge Ryder, 77 years young, of Asheville, NC passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Joshua Ryder and a member of the Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Fletcher, NC. Mary was born in Blasdell, NY, but made her home in NC many years ago. She went to Missionary School in Michigan and then onto Nursing School in Jamestown, NY. She worked as a nurse for many years here in the area. One of Mary’s greatest attributes was she always had a smile on her face. All who knew her will definitely miss seeing her smiling face! She was proceeded in death by her parents, Myrl and Madge Williams Eldridge and brother James Jerald Eldridge. She is survived by her husband, Joshua Ryder of Asheville, NC, sister, Fran Campbell of Falconer, NY and several nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice. No public service will be held.
