Obituary for Mary Delores Fowler Mrs. Mary Deloise Harrison Fowler (59) departed life on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Charlotte, NC on January 27, 1959 to Mary Ella Harrison and the late Robert Grover Harrison. She attended Myers Park High School and worked at Myers Park Country Club for 18 years. Later, she worked at Ross Department Stores and her hard-work did not go unnoticed as she was promoted to Store Manager, working diligently in this role until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Mary was a faithful wife and loving mother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She knew that food was a way to feed the soul and her love always shined through in one of her favorite pastimes of cooking. She put her heart and love into her dishes and was well known for her unmatched cooking skills and signature dishes. Mary also enjoyed bringing life into her home through decorating and design and loved to turn a simple room into something grand and spectacular. Although she would never boast, Mary also had a phenomenal voice and her family loved to hear her sing. She will be missed by all who came into her presence. Mary was preceded in death by her brother Lonize Lee Hokett. Those left to cherish fond memories are her Husband – Anthony Fowler, three Sons – George Edward McPherson (Audrey), Anthony Nicholas Fowler, and Dominic Antonio Fowler all of Charlotte, NC. Her Mother – Mary Ella Harrison; three Sisters – Jo Ella Hokett, Pecola Harrison Phifer (Jack) all of Charlotte, NC and Patricia Ann Rose (Michael) of Kannapolis, NC; two Aunts – Ella R. Hokett and Anna V. Porter (Melvin), two Uncles – John Hokett, all of Charlotte, NC and Sammie Bethea of Raleigh, NC. Three Nephews – Eddie L. Hokett (Tangela) of Charlotte, NC, Tobias Devonne Rose of Durham, NC, and Matthew Joshua Phifer of Charlotte, NC and one Niece – Natasha Donella Rose of Charlotte, NC. One Sister-in-law – Hanna Parker, four brothers-in-law, two deceased and Rev. Terry Lowery (Crystal), Robert Lowery (Jackie) all of Charlotte, NC. And long time, best friend Marcia Pearson Blount of Charlotte, NC and a host of Cousins and Friends.
