Deborah Bryan Lane, 66, Goldsboro, passed away Friday evening, May 25, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 28, 2018 at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends afterwards and other times at the residence. A private burial will be held for the family. Deborah was born in Wayne County to the late William Leon Bryan and Elsie Capps Bryan. She retired from the Wayne County Health Department after 21 years of service. Deborah was a long-standing member of Providence United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Lane; her son, Christopher Lane and wife, Page Jackson Lane and her other son, David Lane; grandchildren, Kristen and Tyler Lane; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Clay Grady; sisters, Janet Warrick, Gloria Worthington, Joyce Warren, Donna Kornegay and their husbands; six nephews, two nieces, 12 great-nephews and nieces and two great-great nieces. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to SMOC or to 3 HC in Goldsboro. The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
