Maryann Sawicki 1927 2018

Obituary of Maryann Sawicki Maryann Sawicki, 90, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation with her loving and adoring husband by her side. She was born in Rome on December 21, 1927, the daughter of the late Vincent and Malvina Kologenski Skorobogaty. On September 25, 1948, she was united in marriage to Sigmund Sawicki, a blessed union of 69 years. Maryann worked in the offices at Rome Cable Corp. for many years. She spent the years of her retirement travelling all over the world with her husband. She was a talented musician and avid reader. Surviving besides her loving husband Sigmund, are: a granddaughter, Kristi (Matt) DiRocco of Philadelphia; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Aydan, Maryn and Leena; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by: son, James Sawicki; a granddaughter, Kimberly Dotterer; three sisters, Bronia Lipinski, Stella Skorobogaty and Phyllis Dair; and two brothers, Edward and Chester Skorobogaty. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome.
