Obituary of Marie Moccio Marie L. Moccio, 94, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. A ten year local resident, and previously of Mt. Vernon, NY, she was born in Bronx, NY on December 7, 1923 to the late Anthony and the late Rose Zanelli Boggi. On October 27, 1946 she married Nicholas P. Moccio, Sr. in Mt. Vernon and he predeceased her on December 13, 2008. Marie had worked for Sears in the credit department. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Mt. Vernon, was a member of the Rosary Society and she liked to cook, bake and loved to shop. Marie is survived by her children; Angela (Gary) Benton of Cortland Manor, Donna Moccio of Mt. Vernon, Nicholas P. Moccio, Jr., of Hyde Park, Thomas A. Moccio of Rhinebeck and Rosann Maslar of Poughkeepsie. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Marie was predeceased by her 13 brothers and sisters, as well has her son-in-law, Matthew Maslar. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie, NY and burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY.
