Obituary of John Hucknall John P. Hucknall, of Albion, NY passed away on May 3, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He was born March 16, 1944 to the late Crawford and Marjorie Hucknall and also predeceased by his brother James Hucknall. He leaves behind his beloved partner of 39 years Valerie McCoy, his son’s James Hucknall, Jeffrey Hucknall, Jason (Kelly) Hucknall, Joshua Hucknall and Jeremy Hucknall. His daughters Dierdra Hucknall, Kristina Erath and Rebecca (Howard) Platt. Also, his Brother Charles (Ellen) Hucknall. He has 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He graduated from Albion High school in 1962. and was a Sergeant in the US Army from May 11, 1966 to May 12, 1968. He was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion where he ran the kitchen for several years and was well known for his home made rolls. He loved to read, talk about history and teaching his kids and grandkids to cook and bake. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friend at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion on Wednesday May 9, from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00. John’s funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00am. Interment will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Orleans County Joint Veterans Council 13996 Route 31, Albion, NY 14411
