Obituary of John Pelegrino John Charles Pelegrino, 61, a longtime resident of Rhinebeck, NY, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in the Bahama’s on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Born on April 20th, 1957, in Rhinebeck, NY, he was the son of the late Francis and Arlyne (Moore) Pelegrino. He was a graduate of the class of 1975 from Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. John worked for the past 14 years in the food services at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck and prior he worked for 26 years at Standard Gauge in Poughkeepsie. John was an avid participator in fantasy sports and was a former bowler- having completed for many years as part of the Lords & Ladies league in Poughkeepsie. John’s greatest love was his family- he is survived by his loving brother, Frank (Lynn) Pelegrino of Saugerties, NY; his beloved nephew Zachary Pelegrino of Saugerties, NY; his companion Cathy Furtek of Rhinebeck, NY; along with countless extended family, friends, and co-workers. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Rhinebeck on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private at Viewmonte Rural Cemetery, Germantown. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 91 E. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY.
