Obituary for Inez L. Becker Inez L. Becker, age 90, a resident of Mayfield passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 at home after being stricken. She was born in Mayfield, NY on January 4, 1928. The daughter of the late; Alpheais and Dorothy Buyce Lawton. She attended Mayfield School and worked for Amsterdam Memorial Hospital as a Kitchen Aide for twenty five years. On July 14, 1945, she married H. Stanley Becker and together celebrated over 72 years of marriage. He predeceased her on July 25, 2017 Survivors include her two sons; Howard (Kathleen) Becker of Mayfield and Philip (Pam) Becker of Town of Providence. One daughter; Dorothy (Timothy) Hart of Mayfield. One brother; Alpheous Lawton Jr. of Gloversville. Nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. A graveside service will be held on Monday May 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Mayfield Union Rural Cemetery with The Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayfield Vol. Fire Department. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Gloversville Funeral Service.
