Hilda E. Komornik, of Middleburgh, NY, entered into rest on Monday, May 21, 2018. She was 96. Daughter of the late William and Bessie (Tompkins) O’Dell she was born on November 15, 1921. Hilda was born and raised in Cold Spring and was a graduate of Haldane High School. She was a resident of Beacon most of her life where she worked as a sewing machine operator for Durell Hat Factory, Beacon. Hilda was also a parishioner of St. Joachims Church, Beacon. In her later years she and her husband retired to Middleburgh, NY. Survivors include three nieces, Pamela M. Owen, Eileen Hoey and Shirley Stanulewich and her husband Steve; adopted niece, Karen Logan and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hilda is predeceased by her husband William J. Komornik and a sister Evelyn Pavelock. A Funeral Service will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 No. Plank Road (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at the Cedar Hill Mausoleum.
