Gordon B. Groff, Jr. of New Windsor, entered into rest on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was 71. Son of the late Gordon B. and Eleanor (Serviss) Groff Sr., Gordon was born October 1, 1946 in Newburgh. Gordon, a longtime resident of New Windsor, was the retired owner and operator of Rocket Drywall in New Windsor. He was also an active member of the Sons of American Legion, New Windsor Post #1796 and Saturday Night Cruisers Car Club. Survivors include; three sons, Gordon Anthony Groff and his wife, Susan Scheible of New Windsor, Richard Gordon Groff and his wife, Dawn of Wallkill and Jesse Groff and his wife, Stephanie of TN; a stepson, Thomas Yozzo and his wife, Jennifer of the Town of Newburgh; his companion, Jill Talasco of the Town of Newburgh; two sisters: Linda Tucker of Plattekill and Deborah Rahm of FL; four grandchildren, Richard Gordon Groff Jr., Theresa Marie Groff, James Cracolici and Nicholas Cracolici; two great grandchildren, Brittnay and Ashley. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Road (Rt. 32), Newburgh NY. A funeral will take place on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor.
