Obituary of Gary Anderson Gary D. Anderson, age 78, of Buffalo St., Corning, NY passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Bath VA after a long fight with Emphysema. Born in Corning, NY, he was the son of Arvid and Lena (Piersons) Anderson. Gary was a life member of the VFW Post 524. He spent many years playing cards at the Marconi Lodge and Elks Club. He lived a fun life. An avid fisherman, he was well known around town. He served in the Navy from 1959 to 1965 and retired from Operating Engineers Union 158. He is survived by brother: Ronald Anderson of Bath, NY, his loving partner: Suzan Warner – Miller of Corning, stepchildren: Dale (Pam) Partridge, Julie Partridge, nephews: Howard Anderson and Ronald Anderson; grandchildren and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law: Viola “Jean” Anderson, grandson: Gregory Partridge, and niece: Tammy Dignon. His stories and sense of humor, as well as friendship will be missed. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery at a later date.
