Obituary of Dewittt Spry Dewitt Conard Spry, 66, of Hobart passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 suddenly at his home. Born on May 21, 1952 in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late Harvey and Rosalie (Borkland) Spry. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. Dewitt was an avid roofer and self-employed contractor until his retirement. He loved music, especially classic rock and even attended Woodstock. Besides his parents, Dewitt was predeceased by his sister Kay Ann Elizabeth Kelly of NC. He is survived by his wife: Valentina Spry of Hobart; daughters: Amanda (Ryan) Oakley of Hobart and Jennifer (Roger) Hoffman of VA; four grandchildren: Brianne Bell, Kaleb Loftus, Aydan Oakley and Marc Oakley; siblings: Debra Lee Conard of TX, Lila Kathleen Schol of VA and David Spry of FL ; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Dewitt’s request there will be no calling hours and funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
