Obituary of Carl Heffner Carl A. Heffner, Sr., age 69, of Corning, NY passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Carl was born February 11, 1949 in Wellsboro, P.A. to Carl L. and Inez (Andrews) Heffner. Carl was retired from World Kitchen, but was a jack of all trades, including a career as an electrician. He was an avid gardener, loved yard sales and auctions, excelled at fixing anything and everything, and he took great pride in helping others. He attended the Salvation Army Church in Corning. He is survived by four children: Carl Heffner Jr. of Hornell, NY; Kimberly Heffner of Corning, NY; Brian Heffner (Virginia) of Montour Falls, NY; Scott Heffner of Bath, NY; mother of his children: Virginia L. Heffner of Elmira, NY; companion: Linda Hitchens of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Angel, Brett, McKenna, Kirk, Korbin, Kendra, Cambria, Hayden L., Hayden E., Carlee. Brother: Martin L. Heffner (Alesia) of Cameron, NY; sisters: Judy Knapp (John) of Millerton, P.A. and Shirley Knapp (Daniel) of Wellsboro, P.A. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Rosalyn Dickerson. Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall Street, Addison, NY on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 11:00-1:00pm. A graveside service will immediately follow at Addison Rural Cemetery with Capt. Raul Rivera officiating.
