Frances Loretta Funk, 83, of Farmington, passed away May 15th. She was born July 13, 1934 in Okarche, OK to Franz J. and Edna P. Preble. Fran passed peacefully away on May 15, 2018. With warm memories of her many years as a wife, mother and grandmother, we are glad she’s no longer in pain. She was always a “Lady”, in all aspects of her life. As a member of the First Baptist Church of Kirtland, she found much comfort in the Bible. One of her favorite scriptures was Isaiah 41:10; “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” May this scripture comfort all of her family and dear friends during this time of loss. She was preceded in death by her loving husband K.R. (Bud) Funk; brother Richard; sisters Katherine, Agnes, and Delores. Frances is survived by her sons Steven L. (Sarah) Funk and Kendall R. Funk; grandchildren Jessica (Albert) Barela, Susan (Noah) Herrera, Justin (Alexandra) Funk, Adriane (Shane) Huff, Ariel Funk, Kellen (Anna Beth) Funk; Great-Grandchildren Lucas, Levi, Logan, Penelope, Kornelius, and Agustin. There will be a graveside service for her on Monday, May 21st at 11am at Memory Garden Cemetery with Shane Huff officiating. Frances’s care in entrusted to Farmington Funeral home 2111 W. Apache St. Farmington, NM 87401.
