Nicholas J Levinos 1934 2018

Obituary of Nicholas Levinos Nicholas James Levinos, was born April 20, 1934 on Staten Island, NY, to August Levinos and Mary (Canale) Levinos. He spent his entire life in pursuit of the truth about how the universe works through science, never even considering a different career, and had the privilege of working for some of the foremost scientific institutions in the world, such as Los Alamos Labs and Bell Labs. He was an expert at making people smile and laugh, and was quick to do so himself. He loved people and conversation and was generous to a fault. Nick was also a great lover of music and art who, despite never really straying too far from his comfort zones of classical and jazz standards, always found a way to appreciate just about everything he was presented with. He, himself, was a gifted artist and loved to play the piano. On the morning of May 17, 2018, at the age of 84, Nick, having won his battle against prostate cancer, unfortunately, lost his fight with COPD. He left our realm in peace and without pain. He is survived by his son, Nick, 43, of Hampton, NJ, and will be dearly missed by countless family members and friends. Friends and relatives may gather to remember Nick on Sunday May 20, 2018 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm, with words of remembrance at 4:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Cremation will be held privately.
