Anna Rose Schiavo 1922 2018

Obituary of Anna Schiavo Ann Schiavo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Her passion for life will always be remembered. She was born to Carlo and Providence Bifano (Mantegna) in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ann met her loving husband, Gabriel, growing up as kids in Jersey City. They were married in 1946 and grew their family by three children. Ann and Gabe did everything together, whether it was dancing, bowling or a night out with friends having a cocktail. When she wasn’t helping with the family business, she took pride in cooking her perfected Italian recipes. If you ever stepped foot into her home, you would always find it to be immaculate, with her favorite seasonal flower decorating each room. She enjoyed retirement in Florida, while summers were spent in New Jersey showing her love and support for her children and grandchildren. She leaves fond memories to her loving children, Rosanne Brooks (Ronald); Joseph Schiavo (Maria); Carla Marron (Michael); adoring grandchildren, Laura Ann Lio (Francesco) and Michele Marron; cherished great-grandson Carmine Michael and Cara Terese Schiavo Garr (Andrew) and many other dear relatives and friends. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 13 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s RC Church, 15 Meyers Avenue, Denville. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Road, Morristown. In her memory donations can be made to the good works of St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Dementia Discovery Fund by way of www.inmemoryof-memorial.org. Please share a memory you have of Ann or a condolence for the family.
