Obituary for Harold L. Bushey Sr. HAROLD L. BUSHEY, SR. of House Springs, Missouri was born January 1, 1947 in Ware City, Massachusetts, one (1) of fourteen (14) children to Earl and Joanna (nee Leschault) Bushey and died Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 71 years 4 months and 24 days. His parents, his wife of forty-three (43) years, Donna Marie (nee Hildebrandt) Bushey (Married February 14, 1973 and died January 31, 2017) precede him in death. He is survived by six (6) children, William “Bill” (wife, Linda) Bushey of St. Louis, Missouri, James “Jim” (wife, Michelle) Bushey of Cordova, Tennessee, Jenene Bushey of High Ridge, Missouri, Laura Ann (husband, Steven) Long of Watertown, New York, Harold Bushey, Jr. of Hope Mills, North Carolina and Joanna Keene of Belchertown, Massachusetts, nineteen (19) grandchildren, Justin, Robert, Rebecca, Amanda (husband, Geoff), Ashley, Danielle, Brennan, Ian, Amber (husband, Anthony), Heather, Kristin, Kevin, Elizabeth, John, Billy, Joey, Matthew, Cheyenne and Dakota, eight (8) great-grandchildren, Summer, Sabrina, Grayson, Hayden, Tyler, Olivia, Evelynn and Jace, and many other relatives and friends. Harold served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and would eventually make a career of military service, retiring after twenty-three (23) years. He worked briefly for Gemini Industries and then became a Deputy Sheriff for St. Louis County before finally retiring completely in 2012. Harold never met a stranger and loved to talk about anything – most notably politics. He loved camping and fishing and time spent with his family. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled Veterans. Come gather and connect with the Harold’s family as they reflect on and celebrate Harold’s life during a Visitation on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016 followed by a Service on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Interment with Full Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, MO 63125.
