Obituary for Beth Smith (Kincaid) Beth N. Smith, 93, of Independence, passed away May 21, 2018. Visitation will be from 6-7pm Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7pm at the Chapel. Beth was born on May 25, 1924 in Lincoln, NE to Lloyd and Clair (Stice) Kincaid. Beth grew up in the surrounding area, where she loved to dance. She was one of the original KC Kiddies. Every Saturday morning would find her at the Radio Station where they would preform live shows. The children would be in tap shoes as they were the easiest heard on the radio. As she grew older her love of music and dance did not waiver. She would travel around the Kansas City metro area to listen and dance to all of the Big Bands that were traveling through the State. In 1942 she married the love of her life, J. Richard “Dick” Smith. To this union 2 sons were born, Doug and Walt. Beth along with her husband were long time member of the Summit Grove Community of Christ Church. Survivors include; son Doug Smith and his wife Janet; son Walt Smith; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
