Obituary for Anna Schonfeldt (Kornbrust) Anna L. Schonfeldt, 94 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at The Fountains at Greenbrier. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Wednesday at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Interim Hospice or to the DAV. Anna was born January 4, 1924 in Mendon, MO to John W. and Bernadette (Wolfe) Kornbrust. She graduated from Marceline High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper most recently for Beem Electric Inc. for 18 years before she retired in 1989. She was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting angels, reading and spending time with family. She was married to LeRoy Schonfeldt on June 14, 1947; he preceded her in death in 2013. Survivors include: a son, John Schonfeldt and wife Debbie of Blue Springs, MO; a daughter, Diane Graham and husband Ron of Blue Springs, MO; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
