Obituary for Phyllis A. Behringer Phyllis A. Behringer, aka “Fluff”, age 97, passed away May 1, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of St. Clair until moving to Grand Rapids six years ago. She was born on December 15, 1920 in St.Clair to the late Milton and Ruby Schunk. She married G. Robert Behringer on December 17, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1989. She worked various administrative positions and was a homemaker and wrangler of three kids. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, St. Clair and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and television game shows but most of all her time spent with family. She is survived by her children; Robert (Jane) Behringer and Jan Hall (Terry Allen). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Rebecca (Tim) Dakan, Lauren (Ben) Bostedor, Courtney Gell, her great-grandchildren; Jordan,Ethan, Seth, Lydia, Lukas, and brother; Bill Schunk and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son; Donn Behringer, brother; Kenneth Schunk, and sisters; Velda Cleland and Lois Eisen. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7 at the First United Methodist Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair and at church one hour prior to service. Memorials in her name will be donor’s choice.
