Obituary for Margot Joan Passolt (Rauhut) Margot Joan Passolt, age 84, of Ludington passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018. She is now in Heaven with her husband, Thomas, who passed in October of 2014 and her son, Bill, who passed in February of this year. Margot was born February 26, 1934 in Jackson, MI to Vernon and Vernita (Hammond) Rauhut. Margot married Thomas J. Passolt on June 18, 1955 in Lansing, MI. Together they raised three children in the Royal Oak area. Margot’s life was full of love and laughter. She and Thomas were the best parents any kid or grandchild could have asked for. Together, they spent all their time with family; on the beach, walking the state park, camping, and family gatherings. They loved nature and the city of Ludington. Both, Margot and Thomas will never be forgotten and they will live on in the hearts of those who loved them. Margot will be greatly missed by her children, Diane (Allan) Segel of Troy and Mark Passolt of Ludington, her grandchildren, Phillip (Kristina) Segel of Seattle, WA, Jason Segel of Costa Mesa, CA, and Emily (Ryan) Moran of Fayetteville, GA, her great grandchildren, Thomas and Adelyn Segel. According to her wishes, a private family service will be held later this summer. Memorial contributions in Margot’s name may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
