Obituary for Joycelyn Kay Clarke Joycelyn Kay (Slaght) Clarke, 77, of Eaton Rapids, died Friday, May 25, 2018. Joycelyn was born October 5, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MI to Henry and Thelma (McCullough) Slaght. She was a 1959 high school graduate from Bellevue High School. On October 15, 1960 Joycelyn married her sweetheart Donald Clarke and together they spent the next 54 truly devoted to one another. Joycelyn and Donald loved to go camping with their children and later in life enjoyed traveling around the U.S. Above all Joycelyns biggest passion in life was being a mother and grandmother. Joycelyn is survived by her children, David (Ruthann) Clarke, Kenneth (Joy) Clarke, Tom (Joni) Clarke and Michael (Kimberly) Clarke; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Linda Crippen, Thaddeus (Joanne) Slaght, Donaldean (Vincent) Evans, and Loretta (Daryl) Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joycelyn is predeceased by her husband, Donald; sister, Maxine Letts; and her parents. Friends are encouraged to support Joycelyn’s family at a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 2-4:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Eaton Community Palliative Care or Grace Hospice.
