Mary A Aggie Newhall 2018

Saugus-Mary A. “Aggie” Newhall, a lifelong resident of Saugus, died on Thursday evening, May 24th, at The Lafayette in Marblehead. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Trapula) and William H. Newhall. A 1962 graduate of Saugus High School, she worked in electronics for 26 years. She was disabled for 10 years and then was able to return to work. Aggie worked part time as a companion to the elderly at GLSS for 11 years. After her retirement she joined the Saugus Senior Center where she made many friends. There she enjoyed playing Bingo and was a member of the “Knit Wits,” as they laughingly called themselves, a group who knits hats, slippers, gators and afghans for the military, and she was proud and happy to do it. She is survived by her brother William Newhall and his partner Jeff McCrae. She was predeceased by her sister Helen Ann Newhall. In lieu of flowers please made a donation to The Friends of the Saugus Senior Center, 466 Central Street, Saugus, MA 01906.
