Worcester – Benito Garcia Ortiz, 63, passed away at home on May 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family; He was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico on March 6, 1955, son of Benigno Garcia and Malta Ortiz. Benito moved to Worcester in 1994; He was an avid musician and music enthusiast who enjoyed playing the congas and guitar; He especially liked to play and listen to salsa music. Benito is survived by his wife: Marcelina Quinones of Worcester; three sons: Benito Garcia, Luis Garcia, and Elionel Garcia, all of Worcester; his sister: Aurora Garcia of Worcester; He also leaves: 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, as well as many more relatives and friends. Benito was predeceased by his son: Renny Garcia. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main Street Worcester, MA. The Funeral Service will be officiated by the Rev. Ramona Perez on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 10:00 am from the funeral home; Committal will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
