Joyce Arlett Ryan, 86, of Littlestown, Pa., died Monday, May 28, 2018, at SpiriTrust Lutheran in Gettysburg. Born July 9, 1931 in Ellicott City, she was the daughter of the late Earl Simms and Pearl Jones. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Leo P. Ryan Sr. She was a member of Frizzellburg Bible Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, collecting porcelain roosters, and vacationing with her family whom she loved. Besides her husband she is survived by sons Michael Ryan and fiancé Tanaya of Hanover, Pa.; Daniel Harris and wife Crystal of Westminster; daughter-in-law Dawn Ryan of Union Mills; 6 grandchildren Ian Ryan of Union Mills; Ceili Ryan and husband Nick Sasser of Union Mills; Colin and Ryleigh Harris of Westminster; Grace and Lucie of Hanover, Pa. She was predeceased by a son Leo Patrick Ryan Jr. who died April 17, 2018, and her brother Lloyd Tillman. The family will receive friends Friday June 1, 2018, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with her pastor Rev. Andrew Reisberg officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Silver Run.
