Emma Jane Herndon, age 97, of Keymar, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018 at The Leland of Laurel Run, Memory Care Unit in Waynesboro, PA. Born April 17, 1921 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Hobart McKinley Mullineaux and Nellie Watkins Mullineaux. She is survived by children, Allen Herndon and wife Bev of Keymar, Laurie Dorsey and husband Mike of Middletown; Dottie Rebert and husband Phil of Greencastle, PA; brother Thomas Stanley Mullineaux of Chambersburg, PA; 8 grandchildren, Diana Crum and husband Jeff, Elaina Moore and husband Steve, Daniel Herndon and wife Beth, Paul Dorsey and wife Eleanor, David Dorsey and wife Sarah, Cindy Logsdon and husband Jasen, Amy Rebert, Timothy Rebert and fiancée Ronza Youssef; 19 great grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Nathan, Andrew, Matthew and Emily Crum; Madeline and Anna Moore; Zachary, Sebastian, Gracie, Jadyn, Evelyn and Ashlyn Herndon; Parker Dorsey; John Dorsey; Caroline, Gavin and Allison Logsdon. She was predeceased by sisters Rose and (infant) Elaine Virginia Mullineaux; brothers Robert, William and James Mullineaux. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Johnsville United Methodist Church, 11106 Green Valley Rd., with Rev. Margaret Moon, church pastor and Timothy Rebert, Mrs. Herndon’s grandson, officiating. Interment will follow in Johnsville United Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 21 at Hartzler Funeral Home-LIbertytown,11802 Liberty Rd., Frederick.
