Thomas A Colgan 1943 2018

Obituary of Thomas Colgan Scarborough & Bangor – Thomas A. Colgan, of Scarborough passed away on May 22, 2018 at the Gosnell House in Scarborough. He was born on February 1, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of William and Elizabeth (Rubsam) Colgan. Tom enjoyed a good joke, loved to fish and could always be found working on something around the house. He was always the first one to help when a friend was in need. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his children Thomas P. (Judy) Colgan, Mary (Randy) Davis, Margie Phelps, Colleen (Michael) Wintle; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Bertolini of Rockaway Beach, NY, sisters-in-law Nancy Colgan of Hackettstown, NJ and Linda Sancho of Delanson, NY; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 32 years, Grace H. Colgan who passed away in February of this year, his brother, William Colgan, his sisters, Barbara and Gert Colgan and his son-in-law, Scott Phelps. Family and friends may visit 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring Tom’s life will be held at 1 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Thomas and Grace Colgan to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 2131 Park Avenue West, Ontario, OH 44906 or the Gosnell House, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04074.
