Obituary of Orval Reeves Orval R. Reeves, 75, of Corbin, KY passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Wells Hospice Care Center at Hazard, KY. Born in Harlan, he was a son of the late Jesse and Dorothy Saylor Reeves. Also Orval was predeceased by a sister Doris Sergeant, daughter-in-law Joyce Ann Reeves, and his former wife Patricia Egner Reeves. He had been a carpenter and cabinet maker. Survivors include his children: Rick Reeves, Janey Heath and husband Clifford, James Reeves and wife Casey, Jeff Reeves and wife Melissa, and Anthony Reeves and wife Cheryl; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Marvin Reeves, Jesse Reeves, Ray Reeves, and Dennis Myers; and a sister Brenda Elliott. There will be a visitation beginning at 11 am Thursday at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with a service to follow at noon. He will be laid to rest at the Slate Hill Cemetery near London close to his parents. Messages may be sent to the Reeves family at www.vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com.
