Mr. Charles Wayne Marcum, age 58 of Manchester, KY, departed this life on Sunday, May 27th, at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born on September 9, 1959, to the union of Charles and Ester Brumley Marcum. He was a coal miner/superintendent, who once held many records for the amount of coal production his crew had ran. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren who were the light of his life, Taylor McKenzie Grubb and Jackson Wayne Wagers, both of Manchester; and the following sisters: Donna Marcum Cox, Rosa Lee Vallance and husband Mike, Elizabeth Saylor and husband Robert, and Deborah Reid and husband Doug, all of Manchester. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Charles and Ester Marcum; his brother Gary Stanley Marcum; and his grandparents: Jake and Sally Wagers Brumley and Jim and Elizabeth Curry Marcum. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Wayne Marcum will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 31st at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY, with Scotty Jewell, Paul Bowling and Rick Chadwell officiating. Burial will follow at the Manchester Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30th at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, KY. Britton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
