Waneta L. West, 92, of Terre Haute passed away May 26th in Meadows Manor North. Waneta was born March 6, 1926 in Centerpoint Indiana to Terry Crafton and Vinnie Boyce Crafton. Waneta was a homemaker and had worked at Quaker Maid in the 1950’s and later at Lifton Industries in Phoenix Arizona in the 1980’s. She loved her flowers, tending her flower beds, and spending time with her family and loved ones. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by six brothers and seven sisters. She is survived her husband, William E. West Sr., of Terre Haute whom she was married to for 68 years, one son, William E. West Jr., and his wife Donetta J. West of Terre Haute, one daughter, Jacquelyn Kirk and her husband Tom of Rosedale, IN. She is survived by one granddaughter, Dawn Marie Neice and great grandchildren Mackenzie Ann, Ashton Joseph, Jade Roslyn, Paige Renee and Thomas Gilbert, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services are Friday June 1, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Funeral Home. Pastor Larry Spear will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
