Obituary for Mr. Robert L. Blanton Robert L. Blanton, 74, of Columbus, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Sunday, May 27, 1018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Robert was born January 27, 1944, in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Clyde and Gertrude Besley Blanton. He married Paula Ann Parkerson on February 16, 1982. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Paula Ann; children, Teresa (Rick) Burton of Edinburgh, Marcia (Millard) Johns of Anderson, Robert (Michelle) Blanton of Indianapolis, Chris (Prentice Simpkins, Jr.) Blanton of Texas, David M. ton of Mooresville, Mary (Scotty Snyder) ton of Dayton, Ohio, Sherry R. ton of Arizona; brother, Paul Blanton of California; sisters, Brenda Blanton of Florida, Joyce (Jim) Richie of S.C.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Blanton was preceded is death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Johnson; sister, Faye Cheshire and son, David Blanton. In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
