Richard H. Herr, 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Richard was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 17, 1929 to the late Charles and Matilda (Koressel) Herr. He was a 1947 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School. Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Therese “Terry” (Collins) Herr of Evansville, IN; sons, Dennis Herr (Janet) of Evansville, IN, Kevin Herr of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Daniel Herr (Cynthia) of South Windsor, CT; daughter, Deborah Thompson (Jeff) of O’Fallon, MO; daughter-in-law, Debra Herr of Farmington, CT; brother, Paul Herr (Sandy) of Shillington, PA; grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany), Collin, Lauren, Calvin, Lindsey, Aubrey, Avery, Landon, Clayton, Grayson and Carson Herr and Megan, Nicholas and Jack Thompson; and great-grandchild, Emersyn Herr. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Herr; brothers, Charles, Kenneth, Herbert and Robert Eugene Herr; and sisters, Rosalie Thomas and Delores Montgomery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 North Stockwell Rd. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home with a memorial service at 6:00 PM.
