ROCKVILLE-Morris LaVern Clark, 86, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 in his daughter’s residence. He was a retired maintenance manager for Mason Hanger Silas Mason Company, Inc. at the Newport Army Ammunition Plant in Newport. He was born March 17, 1932 in Wheeler (Muddy Township) Illinois to the late George Amos Clark and Marjorie Mildred Fields Clark. Harkrider of Bloomingdale and Kathleen (Billy) Rayborn of Rockville; daughter in law, Joan Clark of Denison, Illinois; two sisters, Nadine Johnson of New Lennox, Illinois and Janet Kay Monk (Bob) of Thawville, Illinois; 28 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Clark on May 16, 2011 and one brother, Marcus H. Clark in 2012. He was a 1950 graduate of Piper City High School. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Taylor post 1752 serving 10 terms as Post Commander and one term as Quartermaster, American Legion Fellenzer post 48, AMVETS post 61 and the Knights of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Friday, June 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 201 E. Ohio Street, Rockville, with Father Varghese Maliakkal officiating. Burial with military graveside honors by Parke County veterans will follow in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Thursday at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W.
