Margie L. O’Connor (nee Plemons) 80 of Whiting, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late William M. O’Connor who passed away December 21, 2001; loving mother of Lisa (Roger) Fraker and Sam (Karen) Abner, WPD; cherished grandmother of Amber (Emil) Kegebein, Jacob (Tricia Pendergras) Fraker, Rick (Sharon) Dybel, Beth (Jason) Zeilstra and Marci Dybel; cherished great grandma of Steven, Ryan, Mason, Ahni, Kayla, Ella, Kinder, Ashlyn and Cora; dearest sister of Arvine (Shirley) Plemons, Howard (late Emma) Plemons, Lillian (late Gerald) Atteberry and the late James, Jr., Pete, Cleo, Jewel Baxter and Frank Plemons, Edna Rogers and Ruth Cooper; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, 10:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with Pastor Betty Hunt of the Whiting Assembly of God, officiating; interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Margie O’Connor was born on February 17, 1938 in Kingston, Tennessee to James and Carrie Plemons and was a resident of Whiting for over 60 years. She was a retiree of the Lever Bros. Company, Hammond and enjoyed collecting antiques. Devoted to her family, Margie will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her
